His Word

Before creation there was silence
All around was darkness
Then God’s Word broke the silence
And over there appeared a mountain
And over there a field of flowers
And over here man was created

In His Word light cracked the darkness, like a sunrise along the curved earth
His Word manifested the stars twinkling in the sky
His Word manifested the shining pure son of God into dull flesh on the earth
His Word gave humanity a second chance to have eternity

On this ground there was once nothing
But someone found His Word
Someone took His Word and a building arouse out of nothing but His Word
And when His Word had manifested,
Singing and praises broke the silence in honor of His Word

And so the praise grew till it could no longer be contained
And the building was left behind
Although now not an empty ground,
But a hollow shell filled with silence
But someone found His Word
Opened the door and brought back the Word

His Word is for those who look for it
His Word created Life
His Word lives in this house as we praise Him
As our praise grows, let His Word overflow out of this building
Let us shout and follow His Word
For we look to the Word and live
